Author: Through the years, Leopoldo Lares Banorte has learned and developed some qualities which he acquired through coaching. By coaching small children, he developed patience which is a necessary trait in this field. He also learned the word commitment when he learned to put time and effort with each game. The enthusiasm of his little players rubbed on him that is why, he has a positive attitude that he carried always with him in the game. A good coach is trustworthy because he is in the position where he needs the trust of the players as well as their parents. He is also open-minded and allows others to give their ideas. There might be some strategies that he wants to implement but if the players are not comfortable with it, he should be willing to compromise. Players also expect him to be punctual, and he should be the one giving the right example. And in times of difficult situations, he must be diplomatic in providing resolutions.
Leopoldo Lares Banorte might not have been able to develop all these good qualities if he had not been a coach for so many years. These are the same qualities that he wants to pass on to his little league players.
